AT A GLANCE

Hampshire Place dates back to the 17th Century when the house belonged to the Wickham family, whose fortune decended from William of Wykeham (1320-1404). William of Wykeham rose from humble beginnings to become the Bishop of Winchester and founded the public school, Winchester College and New College, Oxford. His motto ‘Manners Makyth Man’ can be seen in various places throughout the house and outside.

The property has since been refurbished to an exacting standard making it an ideal country retreat within close proximity to London and Heathrow International airport.

The grounds have 39 acres of gardens to explore, tennis courts, croquet lawn and private lake with rowing boat. Uniquely, the property also benefits from it’s own private pub in the garden with outdoor seating and views over the landscaped pond which is a wonderful place to entertain.

Hampshire Place has excellent reception rooms for both entertaining and relaxing, making it an ideal country house rental for large family gatherings and celebrations, and country house weekends.

There is an outhouse with a well-equipped gym on the ground floor and a further 2 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms, a sitting room and kitchen upstairs.
