Our Team
For over twenty five years, LTR has been working with a myriad of estates all over the UK & Ireland, which has given us a wealth of experience.
We spend a lot of time getting to know these homes, their owners and the staff who they employ. We are brutally honest about each estate’s pros and cons and will guide you towards the right choice.
LTR is a very small company run by its owners and personal service is really what we are all about. It’s why our clients use us and return for further visits. Our service is what we are most proud of and the feedback we receive speaks for itself.
Jonathan Townsend Rose
Founder & Director
Jonathan has spent nearly 40 years managing prestigious historic, sporting and agricultural estates throughout England and Scotland.
This has given him a rare insight into the workings of these magnificent properties as well as a great feel for the diverse rental opportunities they afford.
In 1999 he founded LTR and since then he has been looking after our high end clients as they travel throughout Europe on their multi generational holidays. Jonathan has built up an impressive knowledge of England, Scotland & Ireland and of what the countries have to offer, as well as a keen interest in environmental issues and responsible sustainability.
Andrew Riddell
Director
Andrew, new to the team at LTR in April 2022, joined us having spent 9 years working for top estate agents, Strutt & Parker. He worked in residential sales in both Edinburgh and then latterly in Notting Hill, London where he currently lives. This has given him an understanding of the importance of excellent customer service as well as a strong knowledge and passion for amazing high quality houses. Having lived in Scotland and England, with a love for the outdoors, he has a good knowledge and natural enthusiasm for what the houses and countries have to offer.
Andrew enjoys helping clients arrange holidays that will create lasting memories in some of the best houses and castles in the UK.
Outside work, Andrew loves anything sports related, from playing golf to running, and everything in between. As well as sports, he uses music and photography to unwind after a long day!

Andrew Loyd
Consultant
Andrew Loyd started his working life training in top London hotels and then spent 10 years managing some amazing private estates in the US & Canada. These experiences gave him an appreciation for the exacting standards expected by top families, which tied in nicely with his love of the old estates and historic houses & castles, which LTR represents.
After joining forces with Jonathan in 1999, Andrew focused on the marketing of these homes to our international clientele and provided wonderful vacations for our guests up until he retired in December 2024. Over this time, he built up a huge knowledge of the luxury house rental market and the fun to be had at each property.
Today, as well as enjoying his retirement, Andrew acts as a Consultant to Loyd & Townsend Rose, offering his wise counsel.
Andrew also is the founder member of The Bespoke Travel Club.
