Located in the center of Dublin, the Irish capital, Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud is a temple of haute cuisine. It’s one of the only two-star Michelin restaurants in Ireland and oozes sophistication through its impeccable French fine dining menu. The luxury townhouse setting has been its home for more than 35 years, and diners can choose from the 8-course tasting menu or A La Carte.

The restaurant is owned by Parisian chef, Patrick Guilbaud, and run by Guillaume Lebrun, a chef who trained at the prestigious Lenôtre Traiteur.

For French food in Dublin at its finest, l’Ecrivain is another city center Michelin restaurant in Ireland to get on the waiting list for. It features modern interiors, a stylish terrace and a swanky bar. For special occasions or large groups, book the private dining area which offers a live view into the kitchen so you can see the chefs in action.

Both a lunch and dinner menu are available here, with specialist group menus too. Tasting menus start from a very reasonable €115 per head, with wine pairing at a supplementary cost.

If you want fine dining in a contemporary, chic and understated setting, book a table at Chapter One. This restaurant is the heart and soul of Ross Lewis, who grew up spending time on his uncle’s farm in Country Cork. The menu reflects his childhood experiences and his understanding of the connection between land and food. The restaurant caters for all – there’s a fantastic tasting menu, a vegetarian menu, a group menu, a pre-theatre menu, and both lunch and wine menus.

For something extra special and an evening of gastronomical drama, request the Chef’s Table. It’s a unique experience, with all dishes served on a table made of volcanic rock.

Inventive dishes using the best of regional produce delivering true Irish food. At The Greenhouse, diners can experience classic Irish cuisine with a contemporary twist. The menus are great value for money too, with a 3-course lunch starting from just €60 per person, and a 4-course dinner taster starting from €95. The wine cellar is extensive and interesting, with wine flights to match your food. If you’re unsure, just ask the in-house sommelier for the best bottle of your favorite country or region.
