Providing the hotel has full availability, and this would require booking well in advance, it is usually possible to book a hotel with exclusive use for a special occasion.  They can offer excellent venues for a special birthday, anniversary or other special occasion as all the hotel staff will look after their guests with their usual standard of service but with a feeling of privacy as there are no other guests staying in the hotel for the duration of your booking.  Many hotels have high quality facilities which can also be an attractive reason to hire one for exclusive use as an alternative to hiring a private home.
